Hand Forged Authentic Katana
This KATANA is hand forged and hand sharpened using Japanese methods to create the perfect blade. Fully functional and battle ready. This work of art is hand made in our forge and sent directly to you.
The blade is made of 1095 High Carbon Steel that has been clay tempered. A special clay mixture is applied to the blade before quenching. This produces a hard edge for heavy cutting and a more flexible back for shock absorption. This also results in a beautiful, genuine hamon line. The blade has been forged with NO HI (blood groove) to enhance its strength and cutting power. The tip of the blade is Chu Kissaki (medium length).
The blade is Full Tang and battle ready. It is strong enough to cut through a thick bamboo tree with a single strike yet sharp enough to slice paper. The sword has been hand sharpened and polished which creates a mirror surface. The blade is very sharp.
