Hand Forged Authentic Katana
This katana is handmade using Japanese methods to create the perfect sword.
The blade is meticulously hammered into shape in one solid piece with the full tang extending into the handle.
The steel is hardened with heat treatment and oil quenching. Once the blade is formed, it is electroplated piercing blue, hand sharpened and polished to a mirror finish.
The blade is made from 1060 High Carbon Steel with a long Hi (blood groove) on each side.
This allows for a lighter blade and audible feedback when swung. It also balances the sword to achieve optimal performance.
The saya (sheath) features a stunning dragon engraving to match the dragon tsuba (hand guard).
